We do not work with insurance companies directly; however, many of our customers have been reimbursed by their insurance companies for purchasing a HappyLight®, with coverage ranging from 50% to as much as 100%.
To determine whether your health insurance policy covers light therapy devices, you will want to contact your insurance company directly. If they say that they will (or even may) cover a light therapy purchase, make sure you ask them to send you an email or letter confirming such, and that you fully understand their procedures. Sometimes a claim is denied because the light therapy lamp was ordered before obtaining either a prescription from a health professional (which is not required for purchase but may be required for a reimbursement claim) or did not obtain pre-approval from their insurance company.
